On June 22, 2024, HELP participated in a Free IRS Assistance Event at the Zapata County Technical and Advanced Education Center. Community members from Zapata, Laredo, Río Bravo, and surrounding areas had the opportunity to meet with IRS representatives and receive assistance with pending IRS cases, IRS letters, tax return questions, identity theft issues, and other special tax matters. HELP also provided information about VITA Laredo and the Ventanilla de Asesoría Financiera (VAF).
